Soul Ska and Funky Reggae have been the sounds of today, as well as the mid-60′s to the early 70′s- and that’s what last night’s episode was (mostly) about. You heard classic Jamaican Funk from the likes of Toots, Jo Jo and The Fugitives and The Soul Tops- modern Funky Reggae from The Caroloregians, The Impalers and Westbound Train- as well as some non-JA, neo-Soul by way of Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Kings Go Forth and Sharon Jones. Funky funky!
What? You didn’t catch the show on Saturday? There’s still time, catch the archived stream at kdhx.org for the next two weeks.
