Soul Ska and Funky Reggae have been the sounds of today, as well as the mid-60′s to the early 70′s- and that’s what last night’s episode was (mostly) about.   You heard classic Jamaican Funk from the likes of Toots, Jo Jo and The Fugitives and The Soul Tops- modern Funky Reggae from The Caroloregians, The Impalers and Westbound Train- as well as some non-JA, neo-Soul by way of Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Kings Go Forth and Sharon Jones.   Funky funky!

Ska’s The Limit was strictly old school, last night.  If I wasn’t spinning Jamaican oldies like, 54-46, I’m in a Jam and Rudies All Around, you were hearing ASPO, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble and The Impalers playing in an authentic fashion.
