Playlist for Feb. 13, 2011

Last night started off in a little post-Two Tone, contemporary UK Ska, kind-of-place-  but things quickly turned back towards the States, where we spent most of the rest of the night.  3rd wave Neo-Trad was the order of the day, with non-Hepcat tunes from Alex Desert and Greg Lee;  NY Ska from The Slackers, Stubborn All-Stars and The Checkered Cabs; and tons of STL tunes from the likes of The Skalars, Murder City Players and The Urge.

There was much dancing and merriment, but if you missed it all is not lost-  this episode will be archived and streaming at KDHX.org for the next two weeks.

Playlist for Ska’s the Limit on July 17, 2010

Hey kids!   I was out of town this weekend and Professor Skank, from Positive Vibes, stepped in and ran Ska’s The Limit on Saturday.  I’m always excited to hear what another DJ will bring to the show; and now that I’ve heard Skank’s take, I’m eager to share it with you all.  You’ll hear lots of Traddy, classic ska cuts, with plenty of The Clash, 2 Tone and 70′s punk.   The Professor programs a good ska set, for sure.
